- Create and implement inspection and testing criteria or procedures.
- Direct the tracking of defects, test results, or other regularly reported quality control data.
- Document testing procedures, methodologies, or criteria.
- Identify critical points in the manufacturing process and specify sampling procedures to be used at these points.

Position summary:
The DBA is primarily responsible for maintaining highly visible production databases. Responsibilities include designing, installing, upgrading, patching, tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting, capacity planning and security administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Under minimal supervision, install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot and tune DB2 & SQL running on i5/OS, Unix, Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Administer the database through full application life cycle: development, testing, and production.
- Perform database logical and physical design.
- Provide the full spectrum of development and production database support for custom developed and vendor supplied application.
- Assist in the development of a standard configuration.
- Provide requirements definitions for and help design automated backup/recovery processes.
- Help design and implement remote maintenance and production support processes which will require minimal human intervention.
- DBA will be responsible for working on multiple environments and projects for multiple clients.
- DBA responsibilities include production support of the database environments and software product installation and maintenance.

Requirements and experience:

Principal Objective:
The Systems Administrator will be a member of a collaborative IT team in a domestic multi-node and international manufacturing and distribution environment. Their responsibilities include, but are not limited to, administration, provisioning, capacity planning, installation, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise hardware, software, and related infrastructure. The system administrator, along with other support personnel, will be responsible for ensuring the reliable, efficient, and resilient operation of all computer, server, infrastructure, and peripheral equipment on a 7 x 24 x 365 basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The following is a list of specific duties, which are considered to be essential functions of this job.
• Manage, administer, monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and recommend enhancements to Servers and supporting infrastructure in a Windows Active Directory environment
• Perform analysis of systems administration, application design, and infrastructure to ensure efficiency and maximum planned uptime
• Ensure assigned Sarbanes-Oxley compliance objectives are met
• Ensure effective disaster recovery and security measures are implemented and tested
• Manage projects and vendor relationships in a professional and timely manner
